MBCambodia would like to inform all of our loan customers that the penalty rate on late payment will be revised from 150% of the normal rate on late payment principal and interest to 25% p.a. of overdue amount on the daily basis until receiving the full repayment. Apart from that, if the payment is later than 30 (Thirty) days for overdraft or loan having tenor less or equal to 12 (Twelve) months, or later than 89 (Eighty-Nine) days for loan having tenor longer than 12 (Twelve) months, the Bank will change the interest rate by applying 150% of that normal interest rate from the date of such late payment onward. This new penalty rate on late payment will be applied starting from 15th February 2025 onward.

This change is necessary to align with the industry standard practice as well as the regulations in Cambodia.

Please note that all other terms and conditions of the loan facilities agreement remain unchanged.
