Phnom Penh, November 24, 2024 – MBCambodia proudly welcomed General Phan Van Giang, Politburo Member, Deputy Secretary of the Central Military Commission, and Minister of National Defence of Vietnam, along with his esteemed delegation during their official visit to Cambodia. This momentous occasion highlighted the Vietnam Ministry of Defence’s (MOD) unwavering trust in MBCambodia’s achievements and its growing role in Cambodia’s financial sector.

During the visit, General Phan Van Giang praised MBCambodia’s exceptional performance since its transformation into a commercial bank just under two years ago. He recognized the institution’s commitment to operational excellence, financial innovation, and its alignment with the core values of discipline, creativity, and resilience inspired by the Uncle Ho Army’s legacy. The Minister emphasized the bank’s growing reputation as a trusted financial institution in Cambodia and its contributions to the country's economic and social development.

General Giang expressed confidence in MBCambodia’s ability to leverage its experience in Vietnam to establish an international-standard financial brand in Cambodia. The Minister also acknowledged MBCambodia’s commitment to corporate social responsibility, emphasizing the importance of its initiatives in strengthening the friendship and solidarity between Vietnam and Cambodia.
